If your business is due to reach that Value Added Tax Threshold within the next 12 months you will need to register for VAT. As of 1st April 2010 businesses who have a turnover of £100,000 or more must register to file there VAT return on line or if you are a newly registered business. Paper returns will still be submitted for all other businesses however this will be reviewed in the run up to 2012.
